Meet Dr. Aguirre

Dr. Alejandro M. Aguirre, is a graduate from the dental program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and graduated from the endodontic program at the University of Minnesota in 1991. Dr. Aguirre was a full time professor in the Department of Endodontics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and has been in private practice in Minnesota since 1997. Dr. Aguirre has lectured nationally and internationally and is very active in organized dentistry. Alejandro is a fellow of the International College of Dentists, American College of Dentists and Pierre Fauchard Academy. Currently is the First Vice-President of the Minnesota Dental Association where he has been involved in multiple committees on different capacities, Dr. Aguirre started the Minnesota Mission of Mercy and has been its Chair since the inception in 2011. Alejandro, credits the mentorship of the Iowa Dental Association as instrumental to establish the event in MN. Dr. Aguirre and his wife, Dr. Laura Aguirre have volunteered several times at the Iowa MOM. Besides his responsibilities, at the Minnesota Dental Association, Alejandro serves as the 10th District ADPAC representative (which includes Iowa), American Association of Endodontists Foundation Board member and is a member of the AAE Membership Engagement Committee. Alejandro loves to spend time with his wife Laura, adult daughter Andrea and their two dogs, Olie and Pickle. His hobbies include, travel photography, improvisational theatre, leadership development and parliamentary procedure education.
