Meet Dr. Mykleby
Dr. Brian Mykleby is originally from Minnesota and spent years growing up in the Omaha, Chicago and Cedar Rapids areas. He did his undergraduate studies at Iowa State University where he also competed in intercollegiate swimming. Dr. Mykleby jumped conferences into the Big Ten and completed his dental school degree at the University of Iowa in 1981. Following dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency in Oklahoma City. After this residency, he continued with endodontic specialty training at the University of Iowa. Dr. Mykleby has been an endodontist in private practice for over 30 years, mainly in the Quad Cities Area.
Dr. Mykleby is married to Connie and they make Bettendorf their home. They have three grown children, twin boys and a daughter. Dr. Mykleby is very involved in his community as the former President of the Bettendorf Swim Club and in many church activities. He still enjoys swimming and competes in Masters events throughout the state. He’s an avid Hawkeye fan but still has Cyclone blood flowing through him too. During his free time, Dr. Mykleby enjoys golfing, fishing, swimming and traveling.
Dr. Mykleby has taught at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry for over 25 years as an adjunct professor. His professional affiliations include Specialist Member of the American Association of Endodontists, Iowa Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, Davenport District Dental Association, and Scott County Dental Society. Dr. Mykleby is a member of Phi Beta Kappa honor society and the national honorary dental society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
